How Your Garment Is Made
We make the majority of your garments in our factory on the Gold Coast of Australia at Burleigh.
SCODY stands for High performance designs
The first step in making your garment is the design. Our design team dream new designs, work with you to bring your designs to life and work with the designers who win our design competitions to create the unique style that is SCODY. Once the design is finalised it is formatted to fit the fabric pieces that will be sewn together to make the garment. The design integrity is checked for each size, checked across different garment types and each design is carefully marked so that the garment can be sewn together accurately.
We use state of the art digital printing
Once the design is complete we use large format digital printers to print the the designs onto rolls of paper. The design on this paper will be precisely replicated on the fabric.
Cutting
Because we specialise in small orders and quick turn around of your order fabric is generally cut to order while the design is being printed to paper.
Sublimation Printing
Fabric is placed in a heat press with the printed papers. The press operates at approximately 200 degrees Celsius and transforms the ink on the paper into gas. The gas attaches to the fabric and becomes part of the fabric. The colours in your garment will not fade and will last as long as the garment.
High performance garments
The garment is then sewn together by sewers who specialise in each garment type. Your garment is quality checked, bagged and tagged and then despatched.
