TDU The Team Downunder was set up n 1999 to help develop young Australian riders reach their goals as a professional cyclists. After its first year of racing in Australia and winning the Tour Of Tasmania, the team left for Belgium where it stayed for 8 years. The TDU team raced as a UCI Continental Team and 2 years as a professional Trade Team 3. TDU has helped riders like Cameron Jennings, Glen Chadwick (Pure Black Racing Team) and Matt Wilson ( Garmin/Cervelo Team) use TDU as a stepping stone for their recent accomplishments.
The goals and future for TDU 2011 and beyond is to once again help riders from Queensland take that next step to being a professional cyclist. The team is now based back in Australia to help development from juniors to elite levels racing National Road Series events, with plans to ride Continental events in China, USA and New Zealand.
